WILLIAMSTOWN -- Nomination papers for elected offices in the Town of Williamstown will be available in the Town Clerk’s office beginning Friday, Feb. 1.
Offices on the 2013 Annual Election ballot will be: one Moderator for a three-year term, two Selectman for three-year terms, two Elementary School Committee members for three-year terms, one Elementary School Committee member for a two-year term, four Library Trustees for three-year terms, one Northern Berkshire Vocational Regional School Committee member for a three-year term, and one Planning Board member for a five-year term.
Anyone seeking to run for office must go to the Town Clerk’s office in the town hall to receive nomination papers. Nomination papers must be returned to the Board of Registrars for certification no later than Tuesday, March 26.
The Annual Town Election will be held on Tuesday, May 14, at the Williamstown Elementary School. The Annual Town Meeting will be held the following week on Tuesday, May 21 at 7 p.m. The deadline for submitting warrant articles and citizens petitions for the Annual Town Meeting Warrant is Monday, April 1.
