WILLIAMSTOWN -- Sweetwood of Williamstown Retirement Community welcomes Williamstown artist John MacDonald as guest lecturer on Wednesday March 20, at 4 p.m.
MacDonald will share some of his experiences and inspirations in a lecture titled, "An Artist’s Life." There will be a reception following the lecture.
John MacDonald’s work is well known throughout North America and especially in the Northern Berkshire area. His paintings and prints may be seen in private, corporate, and museum collections, as well as at the Harrison Gallery on Spring Street in Williamstown.
MacDonald has worked for nearly 30 years as both a full-time freelance illustrator and landscape painter. He has won awards from Print Magazine as well as having his work appear in the Society of Illustrators annual show.
