The following is the text of the petition presented by Sarah Thurston to the Board of Selectmen March 11, 2013

To see if the Town will vote to require that the Town, acting by its Conservation Commission, shall hereafter hold, administer and maintain the following described Town-owned lands, in perpetuity, for all purposes included in G.L. ch. 40 Section 8C, and to grant to a qualified holder with respect to each such parcel of land, a conservation restriction as defined in MGL c 184, sections 31-33: the Lowry Property, so-called, conveyed to the Inhabitants of the Town of Williamstown by deed recorded at the Berkshire Northern District Registry of Deeds, in Book 521, Page 79; and the Burbank Property, so-called, owned by the Inhabitants of the Town of Williamstown and registered and recorded in Land Court Records April 17, 1961: Doc #2276 Ctf #783 and shown as lots 1, 2, 3, and 4 on a plan drawn by G.E. Ainsworth, Surveyor, dated April 1954, as modified and approved by the Land Court; and to execute any instruments and to take any other action necessary to carry out the purposes of this vote; or take any other action in relation thereto.
