NORTH ADAMS -- The Department of Conservation & Recreation’s Visitors Museum at Western Gateway Heritage State Park presents as part of its ongoing Civil War 150 Years Series an illustrated lecture Gettysburg on Saturday, July 6 at 2 p.m.
Known as the pivotal battle in the Civil War, Gettysburg has become both history and legend. For the 150th anniversary of the battle, this illustrated program will bring back Confederate General Robert E. Lee to tell in his own words the truth about how and why the South squandered this lost opportunity and the war along with it.
