WILLIAMSTOWN -- The holiday spirit will be in the air Saturday, Dec. 1, during the annual Holiday Walk in Williamstown. The Williamstown Chamber of Commerce and the Holiday Walk Committee invite the young, and young at heart, to join in the fun. Kicking off with the Reindog Parade on Spring Street at 4 p.m., the Williamstown Holiday Walk is a family-friendly night on the town for all. Santa will ride in on the tail-end of the parade and head into the Log. There, he’ll be awaiting visits from all of the good boys and girls. The Berkshire Food Project will host a Holiday Bake-Off, with cookies to please all holiday tastes. Hot cocoa will be provided courtesy of Northern Berkshire Healthcare.
The warmth of the holiday season will be present throughout our downtown area on Spring and Water Streets. Horse-drawn carriage rides provided by David Larabee will be available for an idyllic ride through the village.
Musical groups, including the Bennington Children’s Choir Pine Cobble Choir, Flatbed Jazz Band, Ephlats, Northern Berkshire Chorale, Hoosac Valley High School Chorus and St. Stanislaus Kostka School Bell Choir, will be performing throughout the evening. And if you’d like to grab your five minutes of fame, WilliNet will be broadcasting live from Spring Street.

Looking for something to do just prior to the Holiday Walk? Hops & Vines, 16 Water St., will offer gingerbread house decorating for the kids from noon te 1:30 p.m. and 2 to 3:30 p.m. Pre-registration is required.
And don’t forget to visit the Habitat for Humanity Tree Showcase located at the 1st Congregational Church and on display from 2 to 5 p.m.
Additionally, The Clark will host "A Rita Coolidge Christmas" on Friday, Nov. 30 at 8 p.m. The two-time Grammy winner will perform with the Williams College Gospel Choir.
