Renaissonics in the Barn
BENNINGTON -- The Renaissonics, a Boston-based chamber music and dance band that plays polyphonic and dance music from the Renaissance and early Baroque periods in robust and stylish performances, heads to the Deane Carriage Barn on the Bennington College campus, as part of the college’s Carriage Barn Series, on Tuesday, Sept. 25, at 8 p.m. The concert, titled "Such Stuff As Dreams," is free and open to the public. Brostoski exhibit on view
BENNINGTON -- Paintings by Stanley Brostoski, a long-time Shaftsbury resident and art teacher who passed away in June, will be on exhibit at Southern Vermont College’s Burgdorff Gallery in the Everett Mansion now through Sept. 25. Fifteen works on both canvas and paper show the artist’s interest in the natural landscape and the human figure. Brostoski’s sharp, dry wit and his work as an equine photographer are both evident in memorial. A reception with his wife, Mary, will be held from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 22. The gallery is open weekdays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
