The Girl Scouts and Berkshire Natural Resources Council will sponsor a "Spring Into Scouts" nature walk at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 27.
Amanda L’Etoile, BNRC’s trails and outreach coordinator, will lead a guided walk that will give participants a chance to make plaster casts of animal tracks and offer scenic views of the glen’s waterfall.
The hike will last an hour. Participants should wear sturdy shoes and bring water. Heavy rain cancels.
The event is free and the public is welcome. Registered Girl Scouts who attend will receive a free hiking fun patch while supplies last. Non-Scouts who join Girl Scouts at the event also will receive a free patch.
The hike is being held in conjunction with BNRC’s annual Garlic Mustard Grapple, at which volunteers assist with managing this invasive species.Volunteers are welcome between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m.
