WILLIAMSTOWN -- The Franklin County Community Development Corporation will host a free information session at 6 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 9, at The Log, 78 Spring St. The information session is for those entrepreneurs looking to start a small business. The one-and-a-half-hour session will inform potential business owners about business planning, the loan process, where to get help, and how to launch a food product and use the Western Massachusetts Food Processing Center. This is an opportunity to learn about available resources and walk out knowing your next step. The workshop is presented by the staff of the FCCDC. Light refreshments will be available, courtesy of the Williamstown Chamber of Commerce.
About the FCCDC
The U.S. Economic Development Administration awarded a FY2012 Disaster Relief Opportunity grant to the FCCDC with project partners Berkshire Regional Planning Commission and the Franklin Regional Council of Governments. The goals are to support small businesses and entrepreneurs that are investing in their businesses and creating jobs. The project will also build collaboration among the business community and business assistance service providers in the northern Berkshire and Franklin County.
The grant provides resources to support direct business technical assistance including individual counseling, trainings, financing, connections to available resources and industry experts for existing businesses and entrepreneurs with business start-up ideas.
