WILLIAMSTOWN -- "Berberian Sound Studio," one of the most stylish horror films of recent years, has been added to the Williamstown Film Festival’s 15th-anniversary lineup. The film will screen at Images Cinema at 11 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 31. General admission is $5.
Winner of several international film awards, "Berberian" is the perfect way to celebrate Halloween night. An English sound engineer takes a job with an Italian studio specializing in scary movies, and before long realizes he is in over his head. Toby Jones, one of England’s most diverse character actors (the Harry Potter films, "Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy"), is mesmerizing as the sound man caught in a ghoulish web of life imitating art.
WFF runs Oct. 30 through Nov. 3. For tickets and the season schedule: williamstownfilmfest.com.
